Today was really hard, it seemed as everywhere was a head wind. There were primes today at every town, 17 in all, so the bigger teams were keeping it altogether for the first 50km or so. Then there was a massive split in the field because I and two of my teammates and one of toms rode really hard into the wind in the gutter and split it. There were about 40 guys who made the split. After that no one was really working because of the size of the group but the gap stayed at around 20secs for the next 30km. Then with 40km to go the winning break went, i was in it. There were 6 of us to start but by the time we got to the finish circuit there was 16. Seemed everyone knew my number because i could not breathe without someone doing the same. I didnt have good enough legs to beat them. They attacked and attacked eventually 6 getting away. I got killed in the sprint and got 9th (I think). I was happy with how it went though. Dont know how Tom went but I know there was a crash in the last 20km, so I hope he is okay?
