James McCarron is Sussex Sprint Champion

James McCarron won the Sussex sprint championships at Preston park in superb style. James won both of his heats in straight wins. In the final he was joined by Dquad rider Tom Jamieson. The pair worked well together with James leading from the front from the off. With VC Jubilee's strong rider Nick Smith glued to his wheel, Tom Jamieson came up alongside Nick with half a lap to go. James then launched his attack. Nick went with him and managed to stay on his wheel, whilst Tom having to do further distance stayed on the outside of Nick. James was strong enough to hold Nick off and punched the air with delight as he crossed the line. Tom was narrowly beaten for 2nd spot after his efforts helping James.
